A Few Photos on the Tiny House Build Site
Let’s all step back and take in the atmosphere of the tiny house build site. I am unbelievably grateful for the kind, kind, too kind family that’s letting me use their driveway to build this house. I don’t think they know just how awesome they are.
And if there’s anything I love more than securing our future, it’s those puppies! They really make my day.
The Photos
- I don’t know if I’ll be more excited or sad when the siding is all done, and there’s no more siding to do. Probably excited.
- Don’t do any cutting/pneumatic nailing without a good pair of safety goggles! Clean them often!
- OMG. I would not be even 10% done with the siding if not for my siding nailer. Completely irreplaceable.
- A good 18V circular (skill) saw will work wonders for you. Be sure to buy new blades often!
- pico House next to work shed
- I really like this angle
- January in Texas. You can’t beat this weather. Freaking gorgeous.
- I love this little guy!
- This will soon be the place we call home.
PS – I had quite the injury on the worksite two days ago. I wanted to jump over the hitch, since there was so much Hardie scrap next to it. I looked down at the hitch, got secure footing on it, and propelled myself up – forgetting that the casement window was open right above it. I won’t post pictures of the injury here, but I cut my head open pretty rowdy. It’s already healing, but it’s the raunchiest injury I’ve acquired, and still none of them are related to actually building the house!
