I listed it on craigslist, but if anyone on the interwebz who reads my blog wants a crack at buying this beast, I figured I’d give you a fighting chance. I’m upgrading, but I’ve only had this for 4 months, so it’s still in fantastic condition. Here are the specs:
- 2.8GHz i7 (2 cores, 4 threads)
- 17″ 1900 x 1200 antiglare display
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- 500GB (7200 rpm) hard drive
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M video card
This is the top-of-the-line MacBook pro from 2010. This laptop ROCKS. If you want to take me literally, I’ll tell you about the speakers. It has the best speakers I have ever heard on a laptop. There is no need for a set of external speakers because it sounds so good. The display is qualified as a retina display, and it’s obvious when you look at it. The screen is absolutely gorgeous.
I do quite a bit of heavy lifting on this laptop, and it never slows down. I do web development, so often I’m using an FTP client, working in Photoshop, listening to iTunes, coding in TextMate, editing a video in iMovie, and transcoding images in iPhoto – all at the same time. My black MacBook couldn’t take it, but this one can. The i7 processor is indeed a champ.
Here’s the craigslist posting, if you want to see more pictures.
I’m selling this laptop for $1900. It comes in the original packaging and comes with the power cord. If you’re looking for a powerful laptop, this is the one for you. I’m including shipping in that price, so you won’t have to worry about additional fees.
If you’re interested in buying this beast of a machine, send me a note.
