If I think back really hard, I can almost remember the first time I flew on a plane. No, I’m not sure of the exact first time, but I remember flying to Florida to go to Disney World. Or Universal Studios. I’ve been known to mix that one up time and again. Back then, I didn’t have a grasp on the fact that planes can crash. It’s funny, because I only really realized that recently.
Note: Yeah, I missed it by a day, but I figure you’ll still enjoy it just as well.
Well, folks, it’s Friday. It’s that awesome day of the week where you get to shut down, energize, and refresh yourself for next week. Of course, before you shut down and energize, you have to give the last bit of your energy to doing something awesome. Whether you’re going to go see Inception at the IMAX, taking your sweet hunny to a spicy Indian restaurant, or going out for bubble tea, you need to do something fun. That’s my imperative to you. My only caution is, stay cool, because it’s blazing hot outside. I don’t know how the weather is in your neck of the woods, but down in the South, it feels like 101 F.
For a long time, I’ve been using unorthodox methods to achieve my goals. On the surface, they might seem at least a little normal, but I assure you, I’m always taking at least one more step into the realm of weird than the next guy. The funny thing is, the more creative I get, the happier I am. Creativity drives me, and it can drive you too.
This is the part of the show where I will be rounding up some great opportunities to earn frequent flyer miles, hotel points, and other various deals that can be used to lessen (if not eradicate) the cost of travel. I will also be posting my progress in obtaining miles without flying. The number you see in the post title is the number of miles/points I’ve accumulated.
Disclaimer: I do not condone debt. I sign up for credit card offers solely for the miles – not for the use of the credit card. I will always try to include deals that do not involve using credit, and if you are in debt, I highly suggest you stay away from credit card offers. I am also not affiliated with any of the offers below. I am simply sharing them (with no affiliate links).
I often talk about the benefits and even necessity of travel, but what about the cost? I have said it’s possible, but I haven’t explained how I did it. My lover Jessica wrote a post about this yesterday. But was it enough? You know that I paid for this trip through hard work. You know that I’m debt-free. You know that I don’t have a mortgage. But do you really understand exactly how I did it? I’m going to give you an all-access pass to the inner workings of a debt-free weekend to London. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the insane amount of detail.
When you read or hear someone say, “Enjoy the little things,” you probably think Yeah, yeah, don’t let life pass you by, blah blah blah. I’m here to tell you that “Enjoy the little things” means much more than that. And if you heed that perspicacious advice, the results might surprise you.
